Upcoming Events

Welcome

Welcome to the slice.unc.edu! The launching point for finding out about UNC Chapel Hill's 600+ officially recognized student organizations. The events you see posted here are collected automatically every hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from the web sites provided to officially recognized student organizations.

Each organization can choose which events they wish to publish to the slice calendar, so you may see events in an organization's site that are not posted here.

We encourage you to explore the site and get to know our student organizations!

Service Opportunities

We have added in a new feature that we are testing out over the next few weeks. If you click on the "Service Opportunities" tab at the top of the page, you will be taken to a list of potential volunteer and service opportunities with organizations in the Triangle area and across North Carolina. We are pulling some of these from Volunteer Match, a leading provider of non-profit volunteer listings with over 61,000 participating organizations. The others come from student organization events on campus in the "Service Activities" category and from the Carolina Center for Public Service.

This is an attempt to help raise the visibility of service opportunities for students at UNC Chapel Hill and is something we are exploring as a possible addition to slice. If this looks like it will work, we will try to expand the offerings and provide a process for local organizations to publicize their offerings to the campus.
