Some templates that you may find and download do not necessarily have everything they need to have in them. If you install a new template and find that the buttons for formatting, adding images, etc. are gone from the editing window for content and events there is an easy fix. Go to the template manager in the back-end adminsitration site and click the radio button next to the template you need to edit. Click "Edit HTML" in the upper right. Find the section of your template with <head> and paste this line below it: <?php if ( $my->id ) { initEditor(); } ?>
Then save the changes and everything should be back the way you want it to be.
